ClinTex CTi and DeSci — The Future
Clintex CTi and DeSci both work off the idea that scientific knowledge, including clinical trial intelligence, should be accessible.
ClinTex aim to support the DeSci movement by creating a more decentralized and distributed set of analytics and intelligence derived from clinical trial data. This will help manage operational efficiency, patient safety and collaboration in the testing of new medicines. Our goal is to use data to remove bottlenecks and barriers in medicines development and reduce the time and cost it takes to bring a new medicine to market which currently takes 10 to 15 years at a cost of $3billion+ from lab to market.
As a starting point, pharmaceutical companies can use our solution to look deeper into their own clinical trial data and spot data driven opportunities to improve efficiency and patient safety, often before they become detrimental to the trial.
Later, the analytics derived can be used to promote decentralised scientific collaboration across the industry whilst protecting intellectual property. This will create a “learning” platform, where lessons and mistakes made in one clinical trial can drive better design of the next. For example, about 70% of Phase II trials and 50% of large Phase III trials fail, often due to poor trial design, incorrect patient recruitment, deviations from clinical trial protocol etc. The clues to these failures are invariably already in the data insights that CTi produce and represent valuable intelligence and opportunities for collaboration.
The team at ClinTex believe that DeSci can be a game changer for the clinical trial industry, representing a paradigm shift for pharmaceutical companies, not just driving efficiency, but breaking down organisational boundaries to share clinical trial intelligence in a safe and secure way.
