ClinTex Development Update — December 2021

The new year is almost upon us and it’s been quite a tumultuous end of the year in the crypto sphere.
Nevertheless here at ClinTex the work continues apace, we’ve been busy working on the core toolkit with progress on PDA coming along very well so far. In the background, our lead Optex Developer Ian Harrigan has been making steady headway and we’re aiming to have Optex at MVP stage in early Q1 2022. The team is still tweaking OEM’s features and listening to live feedback from the early testers while also beginning the bridge from Spotfire based visuals over to Optex. We’ve been taking everything we learned thus far and feeding this information over to the Optex development process which is enabling us to create a tool which will be truly fit for purpose and in the spirit of open source development, we believe will also be hugely beneficial for other projects that require a similar environment to process and visualize large data-sets

CTI-PDA

Over the past month, the CTi Data Layer has been finalized to support prediction of data quality issues. New visualisations have been developed from this Data Layer that allow clinical trial professionals to predict the impact of various clinical trial events on clinical data quality.

In summary, the following has been delivered in the most recent development sprint

• Cleansing and preparation of operational data relating to data quality

• Analysis of training and test datasets to derive predictive algorithms that drive data quality prediction

• MVP Development of the first set of visualisations to predict data quality query rate from Missing Data, Protocol Deviations and Data Entry Lags.

• Ongoing testing of visualizations

Optex

Development on Optex has been racing ahead. We expect to show the community another alpha stage video over the coming weeks and believe our proposed target of MVP by Q1 2022 is very much achievable. Our first presentation to the DFINITY foundation was delivered on schedule at the beginning of December.
More Optex updates to follow later in the month and a further development update will be presented to the community in our January newsletter.

We would like to take this brief opportunity to wish you all a very happy holiday season and an end to what has been another strange year, owing to the difficult situation the world currently faces. We at ClinTex believe that we can contribute an enormous amount to the Clinical Trials and Pharmaceutical Industries and hopefully to help make real, beneficial changes for everyone.

Here’s hoping that 2022 finally sees humanity turn a corner with the on-going pandemic and that we can all emerge from this in good health and above all else, our thoughts go out to all those that have lost loved ones or suffered hardship during these most difficult of times.
