CANPAIN CLINICAL TRIAL
As mentioned in previous communications, ClinTex have been working with LVL Health and Celadon Pharmaceuticals to evaluate the use of CTi to support the CANPAIN Phase III clinical trial. This trial has been devised to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a defined cannabis-based medicinal product.
(CBMP) delivered by inhalation to patients with non-cancer chronic pain attending a private clinic.
During Q2 2023, ClinTex have been preparing for this clinical trial to begin by developing data visual concepts to support oversight and ensure operational efficiency and data quality during study conduct.
These visuals cover both effectiveness and safety of CBMP and include the following:
• Pain scores (NRS) summated and by pain types. (NRS — Numerical Related Scale)
Secondary variables (not comparable to matched controls)
• Quality of life scores; 12 item short form health survey (SF-12),
summated and by pain type
• Sleep quality scores (NRS)
• Anxiety (NRS)
• Depression (NRS)
• Fatigue (NRS)
• Appetite (NRS)
• Nausea NRS
• Wellbeing score (NRS)
• Global impression of change
• Concomitant use of pain medications (doses per subject per week),
summated and by pain type. In the case of opioids daily opioid uptake
will be converted to morphine equivalent daily dose (MEDD)
Safety and Tolerability
Daily analysis of THC specific effects:
• Anxiety (NRS)
• Drowsiness (NRS)
• Dizziness (NRS)
• Shortness of breath (NRS)
• Adverse events reported
