Update on the Progress of the CANPAIN Clinical Trial

Brief: The main CANPAIN clinical trial’s status remains unclear and is still listed as “Unknown Status” on ClinicalTrials.gov

The initial feasibility study for the CANPAIN trial showed encouraging results, demonstrating the safety, tolerability, and potential effectiveness of the cannabis-based treatment. Despite these promising outcomes, the status of the main trial remains uncertain, with ClinicalTrials.gov continuing to mark it as “Unknown Status.”

According to official statements from Celadon and LVL Health, they remain committed to advancing healthcare solutions that improve quality of life and reduce healthcare costs. They have indicated “plans” to move forward with the CANPAIN trial, which could involve up to 5,000 patients. However, a definitive start date remains unavailable.

Despite our efforts to obtain clarity, we have yet to receive confirmation on whether or when this trial will commence. This ongoing delay is deeply disappointing as it affects the planned rollout of Clintex CTi in its first live clinical trial. Regrettably, given the lack of progress and communication, we must now operate under the assumption that Clintex will not be further involved in supporting this trial, despite the Letter of Intent we signed over two years ago.

While this news is disheartening, we remain committed to seeking alternative opportunities to deploy Clintex CTi in a live clinical trial environment. We will continue to monitor developments related to the CANPAIN trial but will now shift our focus to identifying new collaborations and projects where Clintex CTi can add value.
